| Event Description |
Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver will be building a house on Tuesday, June 20th to demonstrate Operation Home Delivery (OHD) as part of the World Urban Forum, taking place at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre. OHD is a three-phase response program created to provide assistance and rebuilding opportunities in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Vancouverites are welcome to watch the house being built in a single day by volunteers at the plaza at Canada Place from 8:00 a.m. to completion. Or, to stop by the house from Wednesday to Friday to donate a “toonie” and sign good wishes on a beam before the house is shipped to Louisiana.
