Title Housing Crisis or Accessibility Crisis ?
Day / Time Thursday, June 22nd / 13:30 - 15:30
Room Oceanview 5/6
Event Description According to ONU-HABITAT, of the world's total population of 6 billion, almost 1 billion live in shanty towns. The lack of sufficient housing at affordable prices means that a housing crisis which appeared to have been resolved is breaking out again in most countries, even in those that are less poor. Indeed, building houses is not always enough; a sufficient number of them should be made accessible to low income households. The RHF workshop entitled "Housing Crisis or Accessibility Crisis" will present a two-fold reflection dealing with the general problem of financing social housing and access to housing for all.
